AmRep Revisited – Freedom Fighters

Posted on April 28, 2010 by

Little is know about this Minneapolis band, whom AmRep described as “two guitars and a friendly guy on drums” in their catalog. They produced one full-length entitled “My Scientist Friends” and contributed few tracks to “Stuck On AM 2″ and “Dope, Guns And Fucking Up Your Video Deck” compilations.

Ink19 website described the band’s style as “Experimental punk rock, reminiscent of the groups such as Helmet, Cosmic Psychos, and Today is the Day”. They also pointed out that “F2 takes a nod from such former acts as Naked Raygun and Reagan Youth and resurrects the spirit of punk when it still had the capacity to break fresh, new, and often weird ground.”
